From Beethoven, With Hope Skaneateles Festival

Though filled with storm and stress, Beethoven's music communicates hope and a deep sense of humanity. On this 250th anniversary of his birth, the Ying Quartet performs a selection of movements from Beethoven's string quartets, followed by Liszt's inspired arrangement for two pianos of the Ninth Symphony's famous last movement, featuring pianists Andrew Russo and Aaron Wunsch. Soloists and choir will join virtually. Soloists: Amanda Majeski, soprano; Jennifer Johnson Cano, mezzo-soprano; Nicholas Phan, tenor; Kenneth Overton, baritone This concert will be: * Broadcast on WCNY-TV channel 21.4 * Streamed online at WCNY.org * Simulcast on Classic FM Radio 91.3 in Syracuse; 89.5 in Utica/Rome; and 90.9 in Watertown, the North Country, and the Kingston area
