September 23, 2023 marked 50 years since singer-songwriter Jim Croce's untimely death in an airplane crash, just as he was experiencing his first taste of success after playing dive bars for years and working odd jobs to make ends meet.

"Operator," "Don't Mess Around with Jim," and "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" were staples of AM radio in the 1970s, and he truly was one of the best storytellers of the era.

Ryan Burdick, Kevin Roe, John Dancks, Charlie Richards, Jeff Ingersoll, and Aaron Buitron are paying tribute to this extraordinary artist taken too soon.
