Deena Linett, retired Professor Emerita of English at Montclair State University, lives now on the Gulf Coast of Florida where she grew up. Her essays, short fiction, and poetry appear in a variety of little magazines and her two early novels have been followed by two recent book-length fictions. The first two novels, and the third, What Winter Means, have won (or co-won) small national contests and her most recent novel, The Men in My Life, appeared in 2020. Her most recent book of poems is When I Was Water, new this year from Tiger Bark Press. Her previous collections of poems include Translucent When Fired: New and Selected Poems, The Gate at Visby, Rare Earths, and Woman Crossing a Field.
