The Opioid Crisis

An evening with Dr. Ednita Wright who will examine the root causes of the opioid epidemic in America and what it means for individuals and families dealing with addition.

Dr. Wright is a licensed clinical social worker and a credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor. She holds a Ph.D. from Maxwell School of Citizenship, Interdisciplinary Social Science Program at Syracuse University. Dr. Wright is an associate professor of Human Services and Teacher Education at Onondaga Community College. Her areas of expertise include: adolescents, synthetic drugs, community building, cultural diversity, HIV/AIDS, LGBT issues, social work practice, substance abuse, and marijuana legalization. In her spare time, Dr. Wright is working on a book about Harriet Tubman's life in Auburn.
